SNA Students Celebrate Excellent GCSE Success

South Nottinghamshire Academy (part of the Redhill Academy Trust) is pleased to celebrate the amazing achievements of our Year 11 students.

Executive Headteacher Dan Philpotts says ‘Congratulations to all of our Year 11 students - these results are testimony to the outstanding work and commitment shown by our students and unwavering support from our school staff. We are beyond proud of each of them, and we look forward to welcoming them back in September to continue their studies in the Sixth Form’.

Many individual Year 11 students secured outstanding results, including:

Oscar (pictured below) did incredibly well and secured a suite of grade 9’s in Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, French, History, Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Spanish. He also gained a grade 8 in English Language.

Noemie (pictured below) secured grade 9’s in Biology, Chemistry, French, Geography, Maths, Further Maths and Physics. She also gained a grade 8 in Physical Education, grade 7 in English Lang and a grade 6 in English Literature.

Daryna (pictured below) moved to the UK 3 years ago and was one of the first students from Ukraine to attend SNA. Despite having to learn a new language and country, she has performed amazingly, gaining grade 9-9 in Combined Science, grade 8’s in Maths, Media and Geography, grade 7’s in Art and English Language and grade 6’s in English Literature and Music.
Another international student who performed really well was Colton (pictured below), who moved to the UK from Hong Kong. He secured grade 8’s in Maths and Art, grade 7’s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Further Maths and Geography. He also gained grade 6’s in Business and English Language and a grade 5 in English Literature.

Yassen (pictured below) gained grade 9’s in Physics, History and Arabic, and grade 8’s in Maths, French, Computer Science, Chemistry and Biology. He also secured grade 7’s in English Language and Literature.
Chloe (pictured below) secured grade 9’s in Art, English Literature and History, grade 8’s in Music, 8-7 Combined Sci, grade 7’s in Spanish and English Language and grade 6 in Maths.
