Sixth Form
At South Nottinghamshire Academy, we offer all our students an outstanding sixth form education characterised by academic excellence, outstanding learning experiences and extensive enrichment opportunities. High expectations combined with the dedicated support of specialist tutors, teachers and careers advisers ensure that students, whatever their individual needs, can develop self-confidence, fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations. Students leave us ready to assume their responsibilities as young adults and prepared to embrace further exciting opportunities.
Students in the sixth form are mature and focussed. They act as role models for younger pupils.

This Sixth Form offers you many opportunities to develop useful skills. For example, leadership roles such as Charity Ambassador and Gold Duke of Edinburgh.

I like the flexibility around how you use free periods alongside the structure of lessons.

What we really like about this Sixth form is the freedom that allows us to feel like adults. There are so many opportunities here, and I have been given so much support in improving my study habits. Staff really care about personal development and the well-being of students.

Glowing feedback from our French restaurant trip: "the best group we've ever worked with"! Proud of our brilliant linguists! 'It was lovely to welcome you and your students to our restaurant yesterday. As I mentioned, we were really impressed with your students - I honestly think they may have been the best group we have ever worked with! They were ALL extremely polite and very keen to test out their language skills - absolutely fantastic! Please thank them for their hard work and their superb participation. #TheSNAWay @Head_SNA

Our SNA 'Poetry by Heart' finalists travelled to perform at Bolsover School today as part of the Trust competition. They were an inspiration, described by the judges as "commanding the stage" and "performing with passion." Well done on representing SNA so fabulously! #TheSNAWay @Head_SNA

Quelle journée incroyable ! Our Key Stage 4 French students took part in an immersive French restaurant experience where they had to communicate in French for the entire session. The hosts told us that this might be one of the best groups they've ever had, praising both their behaviour and their impressive level of French. We are incredibly proud of them, they represented the school and MFL brilliantly! Bravo à tous ! @Head_SNA #ModernForeignLanguages #LearningBeyondTheClassroom #TheSNAWay
