James Naish Visit

We welcomed James Naish to an extended Sixth Form assembly.

At the end of UK Parliament week, we welcomed James Naish to an extended Sixth Form assembly. He talked about his role and the work he was doing across Rushcliffe on local issues, ranging from roadworks to the extension to the Health Centre and his work at a national level which includes leading debates on how the government must stand with the people of Hong Kong who have made the UK their home under the BN(O) visa scheme and retain their five-year pathway to ILR. For an hour, he answered students’ questions on a myriad of issues, demonstrating an encyclopaedic knowledge and a passion for politics. We are very grateful for the time he gives us each year to show democracy in action to the next cohort of voters.
