At South Nottinghamshire Academy, we offer all our students an outstanding sixth form education characterised by academic excellence, outstanding learning experiences and extensive enrichment opportunities. High expectations combined with the dedicated support of specialist tutors, teachers and careers advisers ensure that students, whatever their individual needs, can develop self-confidence, fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations. Students leave us ready to assume their responsibilities as young adults and prepared to embrace further exciting opportunities.
Students in the sixth form are mature and focussed. They act as role models for younger pupils.

This Sixth Form offers you many opportunities to develop useful skills. For example, leadership roles such as Charity Ambassador and Gold Duke of Edinburgh.

I like the flexibility around how you use free periods alongside the structure of lessons.

What we really like about this Sixth form is the freedom that allows us to feel like adults. There are so many opportunities here, and I have been given so much support in improving my study habits. Staff really care about personal development and the well-being of students.

To celebrate National Earth day, the Eco Club designed a commitment postcard for all students. The aim of the event was to try and encourage students to make small changes to positively impact the planet. Students were encouraged to recycle rubbish, pick up litter, and reduce their daily screen time. Other actions included refilling reusable water bottles instead of purchasing new disposable bottles and donating unwanted or outgrown school uniform. Finally, students took part in a wildlife 'spot it' challenge to encourage the importance of biodiversity. Students posted their completed cards in a box and winners Kristy, Sonny & Emily were randomly selected. @Head_SNA #TheSNAWAY #EarthDay2025

Mrs Caunt & Miss Wilkinson took a group of Year 8 students out for a thoroughly enjoyable morning at our partner organisation, Capital One. Students demonstrated lots of creativity, excellent group challenges, engagement with business associates & asked lots of great questions. Students saw the benefits employees have at the firm, such as the brilliant gym, changing rooms, games room & delicious food hall. No wonder they're voted a top 15 employer! So proud of our continued link with Capital One. @Head_SNA #TheSNAWAY
