Results will be available to collect as follows on the relevant results day:

A-Level:

Thursday 15th August 2024, 8am until 11am.

GCSE:

Year 11: Thursday 22nd August 2024, 9am until 12 noon.

If you wish any other person (including family members) to collect your results on your behalf, you must complete a Candidate Permission Form (see below) and return it to Ms Hird in the School Exams Office.  The person you nominate to collect your results will be required to show photographic ID.

Candidates who cannot collect their results on these dates may provide an A5 stamped addressed envelope to the Exams Officer before results day, to enable us to forward through the normal post early in the day.  Any results that remain uncollected by 12 noon will also be posted later on that day.

Year 10: Thursday 22nd August 2024, 11am until 12 noon.

Teachers will make results available to all Year 10 students on their return to school in September.  If you wish to collect your results in person on 22nd August you may do so between 11am and 12 noon.  Y10 results will not be posted home unless an envelope has been provided by the student and arrangements agreed in advance.

No results will be given out by telephone, fax, text or via an email.

Post Result Services

Following the issue of exam results there are a number of Post Results Services available from each of the awarding bodies.  The main services are:

Access to Scripts – this provides candidates with a copy of their exam script.  These can be utilised by the school for future teaching and learning purposes (with the candidate’s permission) and can also be useful to candidates in making a decision as to whether to request a review of marking.

Review of Marking – if candidates think an error may have been made with their grade they can request a review of marking.  There is a cost associated with this.  In a review of marking awarding bodies will review their marking to ensure work was marked accurately in line with the mark scheme. The final grade awarded may be lower than, higher than, or the same as the grade originally awarded.

Candidates must give permission in writing before school can pursue any service on their behalf.  Hard copies are available from school where students can also discuss their options with teachers and the exams team.  A link to the relevant forms can be found at the bottom of this page.

Students must use their school e-mail account in any electronic communications about these matters and check this account regularly in case school need to contact them; email accounts will remain open for this purpose.  Permission must come directly from students.
