Supporting Your Child's Wellbeing
South Nottinghamshire Academy is committed to promoting and protecting the wellbeing of students in our community. The Academy takes a whole school approach to the provision of outstanding guidance, support and intervention within the academy and in partnership with outside agencies.
The personal development curriculum delivers a coherent sequence of opportunities to develop the skills and understanding to help live happy and healthy lives.
Mental Health Support
We recognise that students lead complex lives and at times will require support in maintaining their mental health and wellbeing. The academy Senior Mental Health Lead works in partnership with senior staff and governors to raise awareness and increase the capacity of support in school.
If you or your child is concerned about their mental health the school will offer support. All staff are approachable to discuss mental wellbeing and the most appropriate staff to talk to are:
- Form tutor
- Head of House
- Pastoral Support
- Staff you have a strong relationship with
There is more wellbeing information available within the student section of the website.
