Students have the opportunity to appeal the TAG grades from 2021 however the grounds for appeals are limited. Stage 1 of the Appeal Process is a Centre Review where the grade is checked for clerical errors. If the outcome of stage 1 appeal is unsatisfactory, the appeal can then proceed to Stage 2 at the student's request. The student will need to complete the form below in detail explaining the rationale for their appeal. Please note that exam boards will not be ‘remarking’ school-based assessments. Given that our procedures throughout the TAG process have been robust and rigorous, teachers have used materials and mark schemes from the exam boards and all submissions and marking will have been Quality Assured at multiple points, we would expect the boards to support our judgements.
There will be an Autumn exam series in October 2021 where students can choose to sit formal exams to be externally marked should they be unhappy with the awarded grade.
If you do wish to appeal, please read the documents in this section carefully. When making an appeal, the result may go up OR down, you will not be able to change this new grade or revert back to the original grade.

All appeals and queries about appeals should be directed to appeals@snacademy.org.uk
Please note, staff will only be processing PRIORITY APPEALS over the summer. All other appeals will be dealt with at the start of the new school year when staff return on 31st August 2021. Please note the deadlines for Stage 1 appeals is Friday 3rd September at 12:00pm.
*Priority appeals are only for Year 13 students where they have not been accepted to their first choice of university.
