A Level Exam Performance

Sixth form students at South Nottinghamshire Academy have been celebrating their success after receiving their A Level results.

In a year where educational reform has been significant, 88% of sixth form students achieved A*-C grades. Many subjects have taught a reformed syllabus but have still secured some fantastic results:

  • Biology 100% A*-B
  • History 100% A*-C
  • Media 89% A*-C
  • English Language 83% A*-C
  • Physical Education 80% A*-C

And 83% of students secured A*-C grades in their Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Performance and Excellence).

Students and staff have worked extremely hard to secure these results and it is really pleasing to see so many students move onto their preferred destination within education, employment or training.

As always, individual students managed to secure some incredible results:

  • Jen Rees secured an A* in Biology and 3 A grades in Chemistry, English Literature and Maths.
  • Will Ginn secured an A grade in Business, and B grades in Maths and Physics.
  • Charlie Allison secured the very highest possible marks (3 x Distinction *) in his Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Performance and Excellence). This is even more incredible as Charlie suffered a terrifying and sudden cardiac arrest on Friday 9th December 2016 whilst completing his studies at SNA.
