Our aim is to provide a curriculum that enables all students to reach their potential during their time at South Nottinghamshire Academy, as well as meeting all statutory requirements. We have a responsibility to prepare our students for further education, university and work based learning in a fast-changing and challenging world.

At Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) students will study:

Food Technology  Physical Education
French Religious Education
Geography  Science 
German Spanish or Literacy

 

Students then have the opportunity to select four subjects from the following options:

Computer Science (GCSE) ICT (Vocational)
Dance (Vocational)   Media (GCSE)
Drama (GCSE) Music (GCSE)
Food and Nutrition (GCSE) Physical Education (GCSE and Vocational)

Spanish (GCSE)
Geography (GCSE) Technology (GCSE)  
German (GCSE)  Triple Science (GCSE)

 

In addition to the main curriculum at Key Stage 4, all students at South Nottinghamshire Academy also study PSHE, Citizenship and SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Education). These important aspects of our students’ education take place during tutor time, assemblies, enrichment activities and during special events during the school year.
